CLARA COSTA
From Brazilian roots
to Canadian spotlight.
Clara Costa is a vibrant performer from Brazil and a 2023 graduate of Dawson College's Professional Theatre Program. During her time at Dawson, she showcased her talent in productions such as "The Oresteia" as Electra, throwing a dash of magic as First Witch in "Macbeth" and bringing the sass as Helen in "The Cripple of Inishmaan".

Her recent projects include the workshop Boal In Montreal (MBC Productions/Tseeri Duniya), the short-film Blue (Odd Place Studios) and the play Shakespeare and the Pearly Gates (Théâtre d’à Côté/Montreal Fringe).

Relocating to Canada with her family back in 2019, she saw this opportunity not only as a geographical and cultural shift, but also as a definitive commitment to her artistic aspirations.

As a storyteller, Clara's on a mission to dig into those hidden corners of your soul. She wants her characters to be like mirrors, reflecting parts of you that go unexpressed and unnoticed. Through her work, she aspires to become a symbol of hope, determination and excellence for Brazilian artists.

Offstage, Clara enjoys experimenting with new baking recipes, blasting Harry Styles and Taylor Swift tunes, and chilling with her amazing family and her loving boyfriend. Her dedication to her craft and her personal growth is what makes Clara a visionary artist, ready to wow audiences and leave her mark on the theatre, film and television world.
